Are the private bathrooms inside the domes?
No, the private bathrooms are in a separate structure very near your dome - just a short walk away. Each bathroom is modern with a shower, sink and flushing toilet, as well as clean linens. The bathrooms are lockable from the inside and labeled with signage associating it with a specific dome.Be sure to view our image gallery to get a better idea of what to expect with the bathrooms.
Do I need to bring my own shampoo and soap?
It's probably best if you do - your private bathrooms have hot and cold running water, hand towels and wash cloths, bath towels, tissues and toilet paper. To reduce waste and maintain a 'greener' footprint, we prefer if our guests bring their favorite self-care products. However, if you forget a basic toiletry, some single-use toiletries are provided.
Are the domes temperature controlled?
All domes have AC units and heating available. All have window flaps and an electric fan. The days in July and August can get very hot, so please make sure your curtains are drawn closed while you're out to keep the sun from heating up your dome. The nights can get quite cool which makes for wonderful sleeping, but your dome's electric fireplace takes the edge off.
Is there wifi access?
We don't offer specific log-in access for wifi, but we live in an area well-served by towers serving T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T providers. If you need wifi for your computer, you can access the hotspot on your phone.
Are there domestic animals on the property?
Yes! We love our horses, cats and dogs! You may happen to meet them, but we do our best to keep them from wandering to your area. Please NEVER enter the horse pastures, corral, or barn. You should NEVER approach any of the animals without us being present. Please also NEVER give treats or take one of our domestic animals into your dome. We do our best to respect your boundaries and we thank you in advance for respecting ours.
What areas are off-limits?
We've worked very hard to provide lovely spaces for our guests to stroll, sit, or mingle. We do, however, have spaces we like to keep to ourselves, as this is our home. We are careful to tour you through the areas you can enjoy: your dome, private bathroom, and parking spaces; the crushed-slate paths that lead to the common area and scenic viewing areas, and the putting green. We will be clear about our private areas to which you do not have access, unless specifically invited: our pool, patios, house, shop, barn and pastures are all off-limits to guests. Thank you in advance for respecting these boundaries!
